Daredevil Season Two picks right up where first season left off

I’ve been pretty vocal in my love for the first season of Netflix’s Daredevil series, and with the Punisher and Elektra appearing in Season 2 I felt pretty comfortable in assuming that I’d love that one, too.

Season 2 struck Netflix on March 18th, and with my normal voracious appetite for all things Marvel Cinematic, I swallowed it whole and was done by March 20th.

No, I don’t regret it.

Well, not entirely true.  I do slightly regret it in the fact that I didn’t take more time to enjoy the beauty of what was Season 2 of Daredevil, because it was just as fantastic as I anticipated.  John Bergnal was nearly flawless as The Punisher, and Elodie Yung killed it as Elektra.  With several amazing guest stars and some great tie-backs to Season One, it felt like a nearly perfect follow up, a little less embarassed than Season 1 to dive into more comic book themes.  The Punisher earned his nickname in all sorts of different gruesome ways, and the potential follow up into an as-of-yet unannounced Season 3 is something I’m not sure I can wait a year for.

I was not the least bit disappointed and I suspect you won’t be either.
